Title: Determination of human immunse responses in tuberculin skin negative household TB contacts and in household contacts who progress to active tuberculosis
Project summary:
The study will investigate host immune responses that are involved in the progression of TB infection in household contacts of TB patients who initially have a negative Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) upon discovery of the TB index case. It will also investigate the immunological events that take place in household contacts during progression to active tuberculosis.
