MRC Career award, new recipient
Project: Studies on the reproductive health effects on men due to exposure to endocrine disrupting substances
After his PhD in 2002, Dr Dalvie continued working in the Occupational and Environmental Health Research Unit, School of Public Health, UCT and is still employed there as a Senior Researcher. His work involves mainly research, but also some teaching in the field of occupational and environmental health. Dr Dalvie’s research during the last few years includes studies on health effects and exposure assessment of agricultural pesticides and health effects of urban pollutants especially metals. The focus of his research is reproductive health effects due to endocrine disrupting chemicals which is the topic of the study funded by the MRC Career Award and on which he will mainly be working in the next few years. |
